Outward Bound Program Cancelled Due to Weather

Outward Bound Program Cancelled and Maritime Museum Program Added

Due to bad weather in the NC mountains, the 10 am Tuesday, Jan. 23 Outward Bound program at the Library is cancelled.  We will try to reschedule this program for a future date.

Also, on Wednesday, Jan. 24 at 12 Noon, there will be a program entitled "History for Lunch" at the Maritime Museum (729 Front St., Georgetown).  Pete Manchee, who personally dived on many of the wrecks and donated many of the artifacts on display at the museum will present a very interesting program. According to Pete, "The bottom of the ocean off of South Carolina and along the banks of its many rivers are resting places for many interesting shipwrecks. Artifacts collected by divers, beautiful ship models and historic photographic images tell fascinating tales of war, storm, collision and neglect at South Carolina Maritime Museum's SC Shipwreck exhibit."

$20 for lunch and presentation ($18 for Museum Members), reservations at 843.520.0111 or info@sc-mm-org.

Thank you so much for supporting FOWL.  The Library is so much better because you care!
