Tea and Poetry March Event

Litchfield Tea & Poetry March Event

The Waccamaw Neck Branch Library presents the 2017 Litchfield Tea & Poetry Series on Thursday, March 2, at 3 p.m. at the Waccamaw Library (41 St. Paul Place). Co-sponsored by the Poetry Society of South Carolina and facilitated by well-known poets Susan Laughter Meyers and Libby Bernardin, the series is celebrating its 11th season with an exciting roster of regional poets. The featured presenter on the first Thursday of March is Jonathan K. Rice of Charlotte, a poet and visual artist. His most recent poetry collection is Killing Time (Main Street Rag, 2015). He is also the founding editor of Iodine Poetry Journal. Following Jonathan's reading will be an Open Mic. All who attend are invited to read one of their own poems. (Please keep your reading to a single poem no longer than a page.) We'll all look forward to hearing a variety of voices, including yours. Please join in! Book signing after the reading with tea and homemade confections. Free & open to the public. For more information, contact bardowl2@aol.com or libbypoet@gmail.com.
