The latest news for you

From Dwight McInvaill, Director, Georgetown County Library System: Please see the below message on behalf of Georgetown County Parks and Recreation. It contains a link to a brief survey we are hoping to have people fill out. Please feel free to share the link with anyone you think might be willing to participate in the survey.

Georgetown County Parks & Recreation is proud to partner in the Our Marsh Counts Initiative; a three-year, community-based, grant funded effort focused on reducing marine debris in the Murrells Inlet Watershed.

As part of this work, Coastal Carolina University is conducting a brief survey to gather perspectives from those connected to the Murrells Inlet community. As part of this partnership, we invite you to participate in a research study titled Our Marsh Counts – Murrells Inlet Community Survey, conducted by Cassandra LaValley of Coastal Carolina University.

The survey takes about 2 minutes and asks for your views on plastic waste, sustainability practices, and local environmental concerns. Your feedback will help shape future programs and strategies that support environmental stewardship in our region.

Participation is completely voluntary, and all responses are confidential. The study has been approved by Coastal Carolina University’s Institutional Review Board.
