Volunteers Needed for July Book Sale Greetings, everyone, it's that time again:  The 27th Annual FOWL Book Sale will be held July 6-8!  This is a big event in the community and it  takes a lot of work to make it happen. The Members Only sale will be held Thursday evening, July 6, from 6-8. The public sale will be Friday, July 7, from 9-5 and Saturday, July 8, from 9-12. We are now recruiting volunteers to help with moving books, sorting boxes, setting up the sale, working the sale, and breaking everything down. The old adage "many hands make light work" was never more appropriate than for this event! Below is the schedule of tasks that we need volunteers for: Friday June 30    Sort books at Friends Center    12-5 PM Saturday July 1   Sort books at Friends Center      9 AM-3 PM Monday July 3     Set up books for the sale            9 AM-5 PM Wed. July 5         Set up books for the sale             9 AM-5 PM Thursday July 6   Work the sale                              5:30-8 PM Friday July 7        Work the sale                              9 AM-5 PM Saturday July 8    Work the sale                              9 AM-12 PM Saturday July 8    Break down the room                12 PM to finish   The goal is to have 20 volunteers throughout the days before the sale itself. Volunteers will be sorting books and then putting the books on the tables. At the actual event, we will need about 8-10 volunteers who will work throughout the sale organizing books and helping customers.  On Saturday at noon, we will break down the tables, box the remaining books, and load donations on trucks. We are asking people to sign up for the earlier set-up day first, in hopes that we won't need the whole two days. We know that some people will be able to work longer hours, while others will not be able to commit to a long shift.
